Why Do I Want Seed Catalogs?
Without agency, there is no what's next. And while I've seen those more with the women than men, I definitely think it happens with guys. It just happens for different reasons. So this idea that what we desire can give us a sense of what might lead us to what's next? One of my favorite stories is from Liz Gilbert's book, Big Magic,. She writes about one day going, maybe I'll order some seed catalogs and then she gets obsessed with seeds and with gardening.
