The Evolution of Coral Reefs

About half the corals have the algasymbiosis. The other half, i bet there are more than half, can go right down into deep, dark, cold waters,. They're not dependent on light. And it confers on them a evolutionary advantage. It helps them to grow very much faster. For some reason they can only live in warm waters the tropics. R those that don't have the thealge they can live in deep, dark areas, and all the way up poles.
