The Problem With Epistocracy
May: There are all these worries about public choice problems, about abuse of power. And it might just turn out that they're actually exacerbated under epistocracy to the extent that it functions worse. I'm like, if it turns out we can make a form of epistocracy function better than democracy, we can feel free to use it, but we're not really in a position now to know whether we can. May: Will there be voter qualification exams where people just rig that and favor their own group? Or willdemocracy actually perform or sorry, Epistocracy performing worse than democracy? Right.
