What's the Most Important Decision That You've Had to Make?
When i was getting my doctri at harvard, and I had a and my second child was six weeks long and in pregnancy. He was diagnosed with downsendrome - he could no longer move his head or speak. My top adviser advised me very strongly to put the kid in an institution because it would ruin your career if you don't. And what i realized is that i didn't care about achievement as much as i cared about joy. That if i achieved everything in my life that i ever wanted and had no joy, it wouldn't be worth it. So i chose to keep the pregnancy against the strong advice of my doctors and advisers. Here we are.
