I thought that was a very cool speech that you gave, and people should look it up on the youtube machine. My name is south porges, a polyvagal theory. And i see very first hand what it does to people when they don't understand their own experiences. Assault victims themselves are often basically put on trial because they're told that there wasn't a sign of a struggle or a fight. Not understanding that theio, a natural physiological response to severe trematic deress is oftentimes not fighter flight, but to freeze and shut down. It's like man, simply knowing these things can create a sense of compassion, empathy, understanding for oneself as much as for others
