The Ukrainian Counter-Offense: How Tanks Deal With Mines
Mines aren't good at all for movement across any piece of ground, so tanks don't deal with themselves. Germany announced it was going to send mine plows in January and the U.S. said they would be sending M60 armoured vehicle launch bridge system as part of a $400 million package. Modern vehicles try to have V-shaped mines that blast out two hulls or direct pressure on top of them - but these are very difficult to defeat if you're not used to using them.
