Security and the Atrocities of Genocide
In the case of geneside, for example, as a nation, we may value the need to protect thousands or millions of people who are being abused by some bad government. And but we also value our national security. Now both o these things are important, we've got a conflict. So when you have to deal with this, this conflict, you go with security,. no matter how many lives die as a result of your decision. That's what we call the prominence effect. Security calles security prominence. Its it. It dominates, joices and makes us choose in ways that violate what we say our values are. We learn much better wit direct and immediate feet back.
