The Dream of a Lost Innocence
The film is set in the early-mid-70s, but it does something different. It takes these alienated people who could kind of belong to the 70s or to the 50s. One thing that's a little nefarious or unsettling at least in my viewing of the film with regard to You the father is that He seems to be protective of holly But at the same time it seems like his protectiveness is rooted in in a potential kind of sexual possessiveness or jealousy over holly.
