Make a choice to either follow the breath at the tip of the nose or the muscle in the abdomen. With each in-breath you'd say rising, with each out-breath falling, rising, falling. You can see that that practice keeps the energy more in the middle of the body. The nose one keeps it more on the periphery, but that's up to you.
