Zig is meant to correct the problems of c, right? Russ a little bit different in their minds. i think it's more about, like, they want to make sure things are safe when your programme. But with zig's approach, were looking at the situation and saying, there's a lot we can do to improve on the c or splus plus approach without giving up simplicity or performance. So i'd say that's kind of like the rust zig trade off in their respective domains. If you're willing to pay the cost for eliminating entire class of bugs, then that's great, and rust is excellent for that trade off.
