Is There Anything on the Horizon That Could Disrupt the Chip Industry?

Is there anything on the horizon that could disrupt the chip? Is there technology that could replace it or, you know, change it in such a way that these current choke points disappear? Or is that just a technologically illiterate question? Does that not make any sense? No, I think that's a great question. And I'll give you two answers that are somewhat hypothetical today, but could be quite relevant in 10 years time.
