Is It a Definite Close Condescension?
I think that's an interesting and probably correct idea that the more you get status, the less the more you've compromised your desire. But I don't I think the problem is that it doesn't course like your investment in it doesn't correspond directly to the position that you occupy. Like there are people who are the most ostracized who are nonetheless the most driven by class status, right? Yeah. That's a definite close condescension. You can see it a little bit in Dickens. This is one of the critique of Dickens and the like, you know, there's a purity in the poverty that the right people just can’t.
