Using the Term 'Linguistic Shift'

Some neurodivergent people talk about linguistic shifts as ways of reframing something. So this person real life whole life on TikTok said that instead of saying I need to do the dishes, they say it matters for my mental and physical well-being that I do the dishes. Linguistic shift is like actually putting different words on something. Don't know if that sounds much more negative. You could say doing maths is hard for me. I am not yet good at maths. But yeah, people are sharing these reframing using the term linguistic shift.
