Google's Material Design: A New Approach to Readability

The Apple Watch's font has contextual curning, which means that the space between the letters changes depending on how big the screen is. That's really thinking about readability in a new way. I hadn't heard about Google's material design until you mentioned it this morning. It feels like we're reaching a new level of maturity here with UI and UX.
