The Importance of Soulfulness in Art

I think what makes a voice interesting is if it's an accurate portrayal of that person, including all the weirdnesses of the person. My favorite singer is Billy Holiday and she is one of the weirdest voices ever recorded. And I think that's just a matter of being willing to embrace whatever kind of voice you were born with. Have you ever had a dream about being on stage and like, oh, I'm naked? We're going to have those high school dreams everyone has. But only like, I have vaccinations.
