I've never seen my sequel lose data in a crash ever. Unless the operating system is lying to it. Very successful companies have gone bust because they did not have an ability to recover their data. That's what you want to leverage. I promise you, if you're listening to this and you think, no, I still want the really fancy features I can handle the rest, ask yourself that too in the morning when you cannot recover. Your only top customer's data or whatever, it all regrets come back. Too many people are bitten by this in the database world. It just businesses have gone bust.
