How to Write a Plugin for a Rock Editor

There's a huge long tail of problems like this that somebody wants to format their code this way. I feel there is probably that is a tiny handful of developers who are working on one specific project who like that. And it might just be a single developer. But my stated goal is that developing a plugin for a rock editor would be as easy as developing a function. It's like writing a function, writing a plugin is like the same amount of work.
