The History of the Delatanti Club
In 1751, Sir Francis Dashwood took over the lease on a long-dormant Cistercian abbey in Medminem. He then began a huge renovation project to make both the abbey and the surrounding grounds a clubhouse retreat for his high-society friends. The goings on inside the abbey were to be kept entirely under wraps,. However, just enough leaked out that a fairly robust mythology about the place has developed. Among the Delatanti were the King of Hell himself, Simon Lattrell, John Montague, the Earl of Sandwich.
