There's a love of country here. Some of it stems from military, the military culture that comes from a universal draft outside of the ultra Orthodox community and outside of the Arab community. Children here are not just tolerated they're embraced. We're forged out of fractured families where people were the only one left. And we become each other's quasi family as we build friendships. It makes living here quite, quite extraordinary.
