The study was published in february and just recently started making the rounds. The subjects were 24 female d two socker players, which are quite competitive. They had them do four rounds of four minute mill sprints at around 90 to 95 % of their maximal heart rate. And they rested for three minutes between each four minutes sprint. In one condition, after each sprint, they'd have them hop off the treadmill, put their hands on their head and stand up straight then see how recovery went with that body posture. All three variables responded more favorably to the hands on the knees posture. So during the first minute after each Sprint, heart rate dropped by 53 beats per minute during the hands
