The Role of the Novel in Making Sense of Technological Change
Fiction is an art act of the dream life, if you will, of the cultural moment that creates it. In fiction there's so much information compressed, but also a kind of symbolic text. And i feel like the job of the novel is to enter that mystery and give us human life in all its hilarity and complexity and mystery. We are drowning in data, but ut what part of it are we supposed to be looking at?
