People do that a lot with our language when we want to and this is very British. It's giving suggestions rather than imposing on people because imposing could come across and could be a little bit offensive, but there is some time that it's right to be direct. And also things like softer suggestions, so with kind of adverbs like perhaps or maybe, I think perhaps there's been a mistake - you're really laying it on thick here. You're really trying to make sure that you don't offend people.
