Is There Evil in the World?
There's a whole line of people throughout history that have used this idea of there being evil in the world to try to debunk the very existence of God. I think as we think through that problem, I just want you to think about this, that if you are willing to acknowledge that there isevil in the world, you also have to admit that if there's evil, then there's good. That can't be evil without good. And if there is good in evil, then we're acknowledging that there is a moral standard in the world.
