A Transit of Venus
A transit of venus is a blink in time when the orbits of earth and venus momentarily line up. For a few hours in a clear sky, it's possible to see venus's silhouette as it passes across the face of the sun. Thereis a gap of a hundred and five years. And then two events occur eight years apart. The next pair, the ones joe had read about in 19 79, were predicted to appear in two thousand and four and 20 12.
