What's the History of Bellabs?

i did some consulting at bellabs back in the early 19 80 sic, and i can say a little bit about its history. I mean, the phone company was, you know, had been phones developed in the early part of the twentieth century. For a while, there all these separate phone companies. You know, there wasa local phone company everywhere that was laying the wires for that particular place. And then, i guess, was it jaby morgan, i think it was, who kind of tried to roll up sot of all these phone companies into sot of a single firm.
