A newspaper survey asked adults which of the following best describes their feelings. 56% said they are secure, and 19% were anxious about getting too close to others. The share of adults who answer that they are secure is roughly the same as the share of babies who respond in a secure atachment way. But there aren't many data sets where you can really definitively say early attachment does or does not lead to adult attachment.
