Do We Need to Differ Between Different Cases?
We're unlikely to arrive at a clear point where we say, ok, this problem is being solved. We are making progress, and we are chipping a way out oft, but it will remain as a problem for the age s. I think that probably you need to make finer agrend distinctions. Some cases are going to prove too mescy and too dependent on pragmatic considerations to naturalize. The trade off is between providing a naturalistic account of a given representation and admitting indeterminacy in the content. So i think more progress needs to be made on that fundamental question about how didn't, how to manage the trade off.
