The Population Race Between China and India
Ricardo Senra is a BBC World Service Global Population correspondent. He has been looking at the population race between China and India. The country was trying to reverse a dangerous combination of declining birth rates with rapidly aging population. But in 2022, for the first time in over 60 years, the Chinese government reported a population decline. That's a very different picture from what's happening in India, according to the United Nations.
