Is Autometer the Predeceased of Short Cuts?

i think upper management at apple never gave it, you know, sufficient resources to become as good as it could have been. It's funny how all this kind of ties together. I mean, they announced autometer with so much fanfare, but they never did much with it afterwards. And yet, from everthi week, we've heard sal was running behind the scenes,. trying to get people to adopt it... But i'm slightly concerned that mikera is a soft word and off the office.
