Bitcoin is a tool that holds a fixed supply, so it holds its value across time. But it's pure digital information, so you can beam it across space. So it's kind of the middle way between these between gold and goldback currency. And maybe a simple way to say that is like money is a tool for moving value across space and time. Bitcoin is good at both.
