The Parthenon: A Classical Monument for Antiquity
The Parthenon, along with the Roman Colosseum, I think they are recognisable to the majority of the global population. Pezzaneus, which is our primary source for what the Parthenon looked like in Antiquity, pays very little attention and just talks about it very very briefly. It is one of those monuments that is eternal and immortal I think. Neither of them are in the Seven Wonders of the Ancient Worlds but they both battle to be the eighth Wonder of the Ancient World don't they? Exactly, exactly.
