All Men Are Created Equal, but What About Women?
When Jefferson said capital M-E-N men, he did not mean men versus women. Clearly, he's referring to all of humanity when he writes that all men are created equal. Government might not exist, but we still have our God-given rights. If we were denied these rights, we would cease to function as human beings.
