When to sell a stock, for a dividend growth investor, i will start with two different premises that i want you to remember. In a perfect world, the ideal time to sell astock that is repeatedly and and consistently and reliably growing their dividend is never. And so i believe that reconciling that tension and managing around that tension is our burden. It is what our responsibility is. A effectively, the need to sell when we do our due diligence right prior to a purchase, is probably heavily mitigated, but never perfectly or completely mitigated. Facts change, and theses for ownership can be wrong. So thereis a fallibility that could cause one to need to move on.
