The Importance of Health Care in Hamilton
We did over a million physical health checks in shopping centers, agriculture shows, schools and colleges. We then went on to run the National Diabetes Screening Program - we found over 750,000 undiagnosed diabetics. That led to me being called by the Scottish government to ask if I could sort out heart disease in Hamilton. So I turned up as this short Englishman in a suit, met this nurse and said can we just go and meet some people walk the streets and she said no you will be murdered.
