I don't want listeners to leave thinking that you or I share a vision of despair. Despite obvious problems and failures, what I call democratic capitalist societies have all in all been staggeringly successful. So it seems to me, we should have some optimism that our system can again adjust and adapt to the change economic political and as you stress technological forces upon us. In any other sort of society, they're all going to be utterly miserable. Just have to look up how Putin is treating his oligarchs and his intellectuals. There must be hope that we are going to be able to make this.
