O'Neill tracked down one of the bombers in al-Qaeda member who interrogated in Kenyan police headquarters. He also provided us with a significant phone number that led to an incredible amount of intelligence on al-Qaeda's central communication system. That 578 number would come to be known among God and his colleagues as the al-Qaeda switchboard. The hunt for bin Laden was seen as a sideshow, perhaps even a politically motivated one.
