The Retreat to the Desert to the Caves
We're living in both a society that completely worships mammon and is utterly obsessed with the material to an increasingly disgusting degree. I think it might be time for us to do the same thing. Maybe we need to go back to back to the caves literally and metaphorically. A lot of these people in Silicon Valley are attempting to build up the new gods which can only come from nature. The logical end of that is the creation of new forms of life - artificial intelligences. That's what AI would say about our technological advancements. It could put us back into some form of state that we were made to be in.
