Some Bible translators have changed wording that was meant for all people and making it specifically masculine. There's a scholar named Libby Shrader who talks about this in a lot better way than I can, but kind of the way they wrote about Mary was to like lessen her. And so there's a clear example, like their value is not a plain and simple reading or scripture. Their value is how do I protect and preserve my power that I already have? Yes. That also drives me crazy. Like never talked to me about a plain andsimple reading of scripture because it's not simple.
