By the age of 14, Nicole Ritchie was using marijuana and cocaine. At 20 she was arrested for a DUI but charges were later dropped. In 2002 she was arrested again following a brawl in a New York City nightclub. She was busted in Malibu for driving with a revoked licence and for being in possession of a balloon of heroin. While under the influence of those drugs she said she started using China-white heroin.
