The Paradox of Pagan Prayer
Pagan Prayer seeks to use God to fulfill our desires without the interest or intent of being shaped by Him. A Christian prayer is a paradox in that it seeks from God while simultaneously surrendering to God. Asking from God, therefore, is also letting go. It's letting God be God over all things, even the things we want or need the most.
