Is It an Aneurysm or a Recorct?

An MRI showed mild left ventricular hypertrophy with normal left ventricular systolic function. There was no evidence of recorctation, but she notably had a 5.3 centimeter aneurysm just proximal to the surgical site of the coarctation repair. Guidelines would suggest that surgical management is the path forward for ascending aortic aneurysms greater than 50 millimeters in diameter.
