Martin: We're so used to rating people between one and ten, we design our systems for that. But when you now talk about a relative ranking it goes against people's common sense. He says ratings are horribly judgmental as soon as you rate somebody based on some criteria. Martin: It's not to find out that this person's a terrible performer or I really know if they're not a good performer. What I want to be able to do is remember back to my original point - the value of talent is all about fit.
