The Evolution of the Solar System

In terms of one theory fits all, it went out of the window in the first few years or year or two. We get these earth-like planets that have densities like lead and then we get earth-sized planets that are like fluffy balls. And no one really understands these at all. So if you imagine there's lots of different possible configurations for a planet where we're just sampling a few of them,. It's only when the big book is written and we have a lot more objects that we can start looking at families of things. And it's at that point we really begin to understand why our solar system is the way it is.
