Faith is certain because God can't lie, the catechism says. Yet at the same time, some revealed truths can seem obscure and difficult to accept. John Henry Cardinal Newman said 10,000 difficulties do not make one doubt. We are never called to simple blind faith; we continue to seek understanding.
