Meison Sen means it's the deliberate placement of elements in a scene. It was coined by French filmmakers, the French New Wave filmmakers to sort of describe their approach to filmmaking. Bucky Fuller says he has a great quote that something like, I know that I'm solving this problem, I don't solve for beauty, but if the results are not beautiful then it doesn't matter. Like I'm solving the problem.
