There was a sense of incredible political tension around these people who are mostly very strongly democratic. And then you add on top economic worries. It seems to me that lots of bluish people in America were freaked out by COVID, which I think is related to the sense that they had no trust in the Trump administration to make the correct decisions for them. Some of these people were zooming in from their houses in the Hamptons. They were just getting their food delivered to them and having a really lovely time spending more time with their kids.
