How Much Battery Do We Have?
Bob Greene says he and his wife run a farm in the woods east of Toronto. They have solar panels on their roof, but they also use batteries to power an outdoor freezer. The cost per kilowatt hour is too high for them to go back onto the grid so they buy off-the-grid electricity from battery packs that are good for at least 3000 cycles. It's cheaper than using natural gas which has become more expensive by the year.
