In one particular jacking, it is believed that a large financial ransom was paid by ltenza in order to secure the release of the plane un damaged. And this money was believed to have later been used in order to fund lloyd airport massacre committed by the japanese red army. The finance was a means of continuing the palestina struggle. So these high jackings were essentially part of a wider camp pan by by the p f l p for self affirmation.
