It is no coincidence that the century of total war coincided with a century of central banking, says Paul. The time between wars became more and more distant as governments moved away from the gold standard to fund them. And i think you can see the level of inflation when we look at these two bills: This was on the gold standard; this is on the debt base standard. They are all teot moneys that were not back by gold and went into hyper inflation to fund the war. But one thing i'd like to point out to you is, how closely can we go big for this one? How closely do they look to each other?
