Matthew has the fewest hints as to its own authorship, at least in terms of a smoking gun. Matthew is built around five really pretty big, long speeches. The stronger rational for why we think matthew wrote matthew is simply the historical tradition. There is total unanimity as to who the author of that ospel was.
